Re: dead movie |
All 5 nights of this run can be found on sugar megs.
I have the dvd of the movie and I enjoy it alot. One thing I was always curious about, don't know if anyone here has the answer but, why did Steal Your Face sound like such crap and the original movie as well as the dvd version sound really good?

Re: dead movie |
I've never understood people who said that the shows weren't all that great & the SYF's sound wasn't either. That was my 2nd as far as released live material for years until DP's & Vault recordings came around. I've always thought that it sounded like they used the soundboard recordings & spliced them over mike's that were at other places in the hall---that it had a sense of "space" to it. The same goes for Europe '72. Listening to Steppin' Out, I don't hear quite the same sense of "space", though I do hear it on The GD Movie Soundtrack compared to SYF.
Just remember, it's ALL in how the music makes you FEEL!!!
